Flipped pickup strikes Wasilla store

ANCHORAGE — Three people were injured after an upside pickup slid into a Wasilla ice cream store.

Alaska State Troopers spokeswoman Megan Peters tells KTUU that the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

She says the pickup ran a stop sign and hit another vehicle.

The collision forced the pickup to flip onto its top. It then slid up an embankment and through a ditch before hitting Little Miller’s Ice Cream Express.

It took out a large chunk of the store’s corner.

Two people inside the store, along with the pickup driver, were hospitalized.
