The M/V Matanuska, the same vessel that struck the Ocean Beauty Seafoods dock in Petersburg Monday, is delayed in Wrangell today due to a mechanical issue with the boat’s transfer bridge.
This news was released today in a notice from the Alaska Marine Highway System.
The release went on to state that the Matanuska will remain in Wrangell until they are able to transit Wrangell Narrows; the vessel is expected to arrive in Petersburg at 2 p.m.
