Stolen purse is the JPD Crime of the Week

The Juneau Police Department Crime of the Week for Aug. 31 is in reference to a theft.


Det. Brian Dallas said in a release that JPD received a report of a stolen purse in the 400 block of South Franklin Street at about 5 p.m. July 16.

The purse was on a bench, and when it was left unattended momentarily, it was stolen by an unknown person, the release states.

The purse contained passports, I.D. cards, credit cards and $1,000 in cash. A picture or description of the purse was not provided.
