Crime of the Week: Tire slashings on Whittier St

The Juneau Police Department Crime of the Week for Sept. 7 is in reference to a vandalism.

Sgt. Paul Hatch says in a release that JPD received a report on July 30 that the tires of three U-Haul trucks and one van were slashed in the area of the Alaska State Museum on Whittier Street.

The vehicle were parked and unoccupied at the time of the incident. The release states it occurred sometime the prior evening.

Anyone with information regarding this or any other crime is encouraged to log onto the Juneau Crime Line at juneaucrimeline.com and report the tip. Tipsters are guaranteed anonymity and can be rewarded.
