Kodiak assembly interviews manager applicants

KODIAK — The Kodiak Island Borough Assembly has interviewed two more applicants for borough manager.

Rick Gifford left the job in June. The assembly has six applicants under consideration.

Assembly members Tuesday interviewed Old Harbor tribal administrator Fred Brooks and former Menominee, Mich., city manager Eric Strahl.

The assembly on Monday interviewed former Ketchikan Gateway Borough manager Roy Eckert and Bethel city manager Lee Foley.

Upcoming on Sept. 22 are interviews with Bonnie Therrien, the former Wethersfield, Conn., town manager, and Alan Lanning, the former city manager of Steamboat Springs, Colo.

The Kodiak Daily Mirror (http://bit.ly/RSJFcQ) reports assembly members are likely to make a final choice in a special meeting the following week.
