Parnell to give State of the State speech Wed.

Gov. Sean Parnell will deliver the State of the State address in the House Chambers of the Alaska State Capitol next Wednesday, his office announced Wednesday.

Parnell’s speech is set to begin at 7 p.m., shortly after a welcome reception for state legislators at Juneau’s Centennial Hall.

The annual State of the State speech is typically given the day after the start of the legislative session.

Next week’s speech will be Parnell’s fourth State of the State address since becoming governor in 2009 after the resignation of then-Gov. Sarah Palin, under whom he served as lieutenant governor.
