One of the University of Alaska Southeast’s downtown Juneau buildings is going up for sale, the University of Alaska announced Monday.
The University of Alaska Land Management website lists the Bill Ray Center and its adjacent parking lot as being offered for sale “at or above fair market value” and says offers will be considered after the public comment period on the disposal plan for the site ends April 22.
The Bill Ray Center is a two-story office building of about 22,000 square feet, according to the public notice. The accompanying lot takes up approximately 38,000 square feet, it adds.
Right now, UAS uses the Bill Ray Center mostly as office, classroom and multimedia space for its School of Career Education. The building contains three classrooms and one small computer lab.
Written comments can be submitted to University of Alaska Facilities and Land Management in Anchorage by fax or mail. The fax number is (907) 786-7733 and the mailing address is 1815 Bragaw Street, Suite 101, Anchorage, AK 99508.
University officials did not return calls requesting comment on the disposal plan Tuesday.
