When President Barack Obama flies into Anchorage on Monday, some of Alaska’s top politicians won’t be on stage.
On Tuesday, representatives of Sen. Lisa Murkowski, Sen. Dan Sullivan and Rep. Don Young said the president’s path will not cross theirs next week.
Gov. Bill Walker said in a press conference he expects to meet the president but isn’t sure how much one-on-one time he’ll have.
“It’s an exciting time for Alaska,” he said. “We don’t have a lot of presidents stop here unless they’re low on fuel.”
