FAIRBANKS - A 29-year-old North Pole man is under arrest after telling authorities he swapped methamphetamine for a shotgun and mail not belonging to him.
Anthony Cesani is charged with felony drugs misconduct and felony theft.
Authorities say a Fairbanks International Airport police officer was making a welfare check on Cesani just after 4 a.m. Sunday.
The officer spotted Cesani's vehicle parked in a remote area with temperatures hovering at 30 below zero.
Authorities say the officer saw a baggie of what appeared to be methamphetamine in the front passenger seat.
The criminal complaint says Cesani handed over six credit cards to the officer and two other credit were later found on him. Cesani told authorities he used the credit cards to buy $100 worth of fuel.
