Kudos to the new coaches of the high school drill team. The team may have lost one coach, but the new ones haven't lost a beat.
My mom suffered a seizure on New Year's Eve in the parking lot of Carr's. I would like to thank all those who called 911. Thanks for keeping me calm, taking me to the wedding reception and helping my mom.
Thank you to the family whom I inspired enough to give me the compliment in the Dec. 29 Word of Mouth. I am grateful that my assistance in your home-buying process made a difference in your life. Happy New Year.
To the person who thinks the head tax should be increased to pay for the Capital City Classic so that the players wouldn't have to wear the Princess logo, if Princess didn't sponsor it, the tournament probably wouldn't happen. The head tax is not for all the basketball games, it's for dock improvements.
To the uninformed caller who commented about the Princess logo on warm-up shirts. That's absolutely incorrect. The Princess name and logo are on T-shirts that can be bought. There are no warm-ups with the logo on them. We should be proud of the fact that the company chose to sponsor the classic. Obviously, this caller has other issues.
The pipeline skate park is a wonderful facility but is in dire need of repair. It's a dangerous area for kids right now and needs repairs badly.
I work for the state of Alaska at Vintage Business Park and we have a janitor that keeps our bathrooms sparkling too, I think second-to-none.
To the person who broke into my car over Christmas break, thank you for not taking my stereo, I guess. But if you could at least call in and let me know where you threw the ash tray after you took the change out of it because that alone costs $80 to replace.
Here's the latest score: Boombox stereo drivers 7/24, homeowners 0.
Now we know what assemblyman John MacKinnon meant when he said in last Wednesday's paper that Analytica Alaska's lab misanalyzed samples of CBJ wastewater. John meant Analytica forgot to water down the samples.
Illegal discharges at the Mendenhall Treatment Plant had been covered up or not reported since the plant opened. Previous employees had been admonished for bringing them to the administration's attention. Bronson is a fall-guy.
