Former Juneau resident Timothy G. White died Dec. 1, 2001, at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Wash., after a long illness.
Born April 17, 1957, in Union City, Tenn., to Ann (Caldwell) Kennedy and John L. White, he spent his younger years in Juneau, where he attended elementary school. He graduated from high school at Obion County Central High in Troy, Tenn., and served in the U.S. Army.
He was later employed as a construction worker and drove a cab in Juneau for several years. He loved hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Jim Kennedy, his brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Pat White, Terry and Lynn White, and Danny and Leah Lakip of Juneau and Jeffrey, and Lisa White of Salem, Ore., his son Nicholas, serving in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service at St. Mary's, Ga., his daughter Rachel Copp of Clinton, Ky., two granddaughters, eight nephews and nieces and several cousins.
His funeral was held Dec. 9, 2001, at Fremont Church of Christ in Union City, Tenn. Memorial gifts may be sent to the Chicken Soup Brigade, 1003 E. Seneca, Seattle, WA, 98122, or to the American Cancer Society.
