Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Assaults:

A woman, 52, was arrested at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday in the downtown area for domestic violence assault. Police allege alcohol was a factor in the incident. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

A Juneau resident reported at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday from Gee Street that a mailbox had been set on fire. Police said the amount of damage to the box was unknown.

Vehicle accidents:

Police cited a 17-year-old girl for failure to yield following a two-vehicle accident at 12:40 p.m. Wednesday near North Douglas Highway. A blue Toyota four-door vehicle, driven by the girl, struck a red Volkswagen Jetta, driven by a man, 39. The girl was taken to Bartlett Regional Hospital for an evaluation and later was released in good condition.
