Moderate earthquake felt in Kodiak

FAIRBANKS - A moderate earthquake has occurred near Kodiak Island.

The Alaska Earthquake Information Center says the quake occurred at 5:17 a.m. Friday and had a preliminary magnitude of 5.2. It was centered 46 miles northeast of Kodiak.

There were reports that the quake was felt, but there were no reports of it doing any damage.
