Lifelong Hoonah resident Karl H. Greenewald Sr. died Jan. 1, 2011, surrounded by his loved ones at the Alaska Native Medical Center. He was born in 1928 in Hoonah of the Tækdeintaan Clan, Tax’ Hit (Snail House). His Tlingit names were Quaats and Too Heek Naa Haa.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday in the Alaska Native Brotherhood Hall in Hoonah, beginning with a Catholic service and followed by a memorial service, with the burial on Monday morning.
