I feel that Word of Mouth is cruel, allowing anonymous people to make accusations against possibly innocent people.
There are many forms of sexual harassment. Some are more subtle than others. In one of yesterday's headlines, why did the Empire choose the word "feisty" to describe the Florida Secretary of State Kathleen Harris? If a man had performed the job in the same way, would he be "feisty?" Or would he be steadfast, loyal or even courageous?
Global warming has won. Eaglecrest needs to move either up the hill or out the road.
I am a state employee downtown and I would just hope that people would be a little more considerate in the way they park their car and not leave so much space between, so maybe another car could fit in. Also, the yellow lines are just too long around downtown. They need to be shortened.

Being a disgruntled Sealaska shareholder, I am convinced we need a new president.
It was highly disturbing to read that a single man with one child was approved over other applicants to receive the Housing Authority Housing First three-bedroom home. One parent and one child and three bedrooms doesn't seem to be fair.
Isn't the capitol state property? The state of Alaska should pay for all maintenance and expansion.
