The Tri-Valley Warriors won the rubber match of a three-game series with the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears by skating to a 4-3 Greatland Conference high school hockey victory on Wednesday night in Healy.

Trailing 2-1 after the second period, the Warriors outscored the Crimson Bears 3-1 in the third period to pull out the win. The two teams had split a pair of games in Juneau prior to the Christmas break.
"It took us a little while to get going, but we finally got it together in the third period," said Tri-Valley coach Nick Evans.
Four different players scored goals for the Warriors-Evan Venechuk, Ben Renshaw, Parker Vacura and Vince Usibelli, who also had a pair of assists. Craig Clark and Alex Mattielli each notched an assist for Tri-Valley and goalie Luke Jordan turned back 18 shots to get the win.
Andrew Ainsworth tallied a pair of goals for the Crimson Bears and Evan Wood accounted for the other score. Nate Hickock, Trevor Lyden, Kacy Carlson, Chris Klawonn and TJ Preston each had an assist. Goalie Kelsey Preston had 10 saves.
Juneau continues its conference road trip when it takes on the Hutchison Hawks at 6:45 tonight at the Polar Ice Center in North Pole.
