ANCHORAGE — The Mat-Su Borough is hiring an outside firm to find more candidates for city manager.
KTUU-TV reports 60 candidates initially applied for the job to replace John Duff, who resigned in April.
The Borough Assembly narrowed the search down to three after a lengthy interview process. But two of those have dropped out, leaving Don Baird of Colorado.
The assembly decided to re-open the search and pay a Florida firm $24,000 to help it find the best candidate.
