ANCHORAGE — Larry Crawford, who held top posts for an Alaska governor and four Anchorage mayors, has died at age 73.
Anchorage Mayor Dan Sullivan says Crawford died Friday after a battle with cancer.
Crawford had served as former Gov. Bill Sheffield’s chief of staff.
He also had worked as city manager for Anchorage mayors Rick Mystrom, Tom Fink and George Sullivan, the late father of the current mayor.
Crawford served as Dan Sullivan’s chief of staff, resigning in March 2010 because of health problems. Crawford also led Sullivan’s transition team before joining the administration.
