The origins of a word

Letter to the editor

Homosexual as a word is not used until a doctor in 1869 decided to pervert a word from Greek language to describe the "illness" of same-gender sexual relations.

It is clear from research that the "idea" of homosexuality was very evident clear from Moses' time as Sodom (where sodomizing comes from) speaks against it and the Bible continues to speak out against it until today and beyond.

I am not sure what Bible Mr. Gibson is reading, but if he took the time to read any Bible translation/edition, he will see the word homosexual in it again, starting with Noah's time.

There is plenty of history and factual writings regarding a variety of things we have named or re-named to better understand ideas and concepts homosexual is just one of them.
