A more moral fight

The Iraq war was many months in planning, with plenty of time for President Bush to solicit private donations for the $150 billion (and counting) we've spent waging war and rebuilding what we blow-up.

The Asia tsunami came without warning. Our president reluctantly releases a few million dollars (just $350 million to date or four one-hundreths of 1 percent of our war spending) to save face from international political pressure.

Instead of using tax dollars to wage peace when immediate action is needed, he sends two former presidents to beg for private donations while disease and starvation continue to spread in the region.

How's that for "moral," America?
