A Coast Guard plane flies over the partially sunken bow of the freighter Selendang Ayu on Tuesday off of Unalaska Island. The bow section of the freighter partially sank in December and the fuel on board is presumed to be unrecoverable. Oil from the stern section is being loaded into tanks and flown to Dutch Harbor. The 738-foot Malaysian cargo ship split in half off of Unalaska Island in the Aleutian Island chain spilling thousands of gallons of heavy bunker fuel and diesel, threatening a sensitive wildlife habitat on the Island.
