Nick Waldo tosses the family Christmas tree onto the pile to be recycled at the Capitol Disposal Waste Management’s Lemon Creek Landfill on Wednesday. This Saturday, Jan. 8, is the last day to drop off trees. The trees will be chipped by the city’s street department weather permitting. The chips will be free to the public in the same location at the landfill.
