The Canvas Community Art Studio & Gallery has scheduled a kids "12 x 12" class at the end of the month for kids 8 and up. The class will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31 at the Seward Street studio.

Instructor MK MacNaughton will supply paint and unusual collage materials to inspire kids to create one-of-a-kind works of art. Participants are encouraged to exhibit their work in February at the museum's "12 x12" exhibit.

Register for the Canvas class through the city museum at 586-3572.
