JUNEAU - The Juneau nonprofit Housing First has renewed its Home Opportunity Program, also known as "HOP." The current application period is open now through April 1.
The program is intended to help homebuyers buy a home.
Applicants must be able to qualify for a primary home loan with an approved mortgage lender to get help with down payment and closing costs.

The nonprofit has $250,000 currently available, with as much as $30,000 allowed per household. Loans are interest-free and partially forgivable depending on the length of time a homebuyer remains in a home.
Income limits are $44,800 for one person, $51,200 for two people, $57,600 for three people, etc.
