Remember the good

I'd

like to offer a few words of support for Coach Jim Hamey. While I never played ball for him, I have watched his teams over many years. Not only did he teach an entire generation of Juneau kids the positive of values of competitive sports at a high level, he also brought the town a lot of pride along the way: championships, exciting sports moments, and a few goofball stunts (remember him sitting in the "barber chair" in front of the entire high school?). The way he accepted responsibility for his recent actions showed a lot of the class I've come to expect from him. I hope Juneau remembers all of the good things Jim has done for the community, and doesn't let one bonehead error obscure his accomplishments. I wish Coach Hamey all the best for the future.
