Snow report

Posted: Sunday, January 09, 2005

As of Saturday, Eaglecrest Ski Area had 9 inches of snow at the base and 73 inches at the top. East Bowl and Williwaw runs were groomed. All other open trails were ski packed. The Ptarmigan Chairlift and the Platter Beginner Lift were operating. The Hooter Chairlift and Tubing Hill were closed.

Snows conditions were variable, with limited snow cover on the lower slopes. Hazards marked and unmarked exist. Skiers and boarders should exercise caution. With minimal snow coverage, only intermediate and expert terrain is available from the Ptarmigan Chairlift. Beginning and novice skiers and snowboarders are encouraged to use the Platter area.
