JUNEAU - Alaska Pacific Bancshares Inc. President and CEO Craig E. Dahl announced that Lisa Purves was recently hired as the bank's human resource officer.
Purves oversees personnel policies and procedures, the bank's human resources budget, benefits administration, recruitment, new employee orientation, employee recognition programs and employee training.
Purves is the plan administrator for the bank's 401(k), Employee Stock Ownership Program, and health and life insurance plans. She also administers the bank's affirmative action program.
Purves grew up in Juneau and earned a Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in humanities and business from Evergreen State College in Washington. She brings more than 15 years of human resources experience to her position at Alaska Pacific. She began her human resources career at Greens Creek Mine and worked there for five years until the mine closed in 1993. She then spent nearly 10 years in human resources, primarily in the Pacific Northwest.
"We are pleased to have Lisa join Alaska Pacific Bank," Dahl said. "Her HR experience and skills are top notch, and with her family ties in Juneau and Sitka and her knowledge of Southeast, she is a great asset to the bank."
