Juneau man named Transportation deputy commissioner

JUNEAU — Gov. Sean Parnell has named a former Department of Transportation employee as deputy commissioner of highways.

Pat Kemp’s appointment was announced Friday.

Kemp started work with the department as a project manager in 1971. Most recently, Kemp worked with the Federal Highway Administration and as an independent consulting engineer.

Kemp is a graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and a longtime resident of Juneau.
