A headline in a story about an ethics hearing in Tuesday's Empire was incorrect. The findings in question were made by the Alaska Public Offices Commission's staff, not the commission itself. The commission is scheduled to make a decision on whether to uphold the staff recommendations.

Monday's newspaper reported an incorrect figure for Alaska's high school dropout rate and erroneously attributed the information to Eric Fry, spokesman for the Alaska Department of Education. The rate, 63 percent, is the state graduation rate, not the dropout rate.
