A 26-year-old Juneau man died Saturday from stab wounds, but so far authorities have been reluctant to say if foul play was involved.
Aaron Whicker was pronounced dead at Bartlett Regional Hospital early Saturday morning from wounds to the chest. Police are continuing to investigate the death and would not say if it was a homicide, suicide or accident.
"It's under investigation, that's all I can tell you," Sgt. Steve Hernandez said.
Police received a call at about 5:39 a.m. Saturday from a woman who said her son-in-law was bleeding at a residence in the 8800 block of Duran Street in the Mendenhall Valley and needed an ambulance. Police interviewed two adult relatives, a child and a friend who were at the residence at the time.
There is not anyone on the loose associated with the death that the public should be aware of, Hernandez said.
"There is nothing the public needs to be concerned about," he said.
Police said they'll notify media as more information becomes available.
