ANCHORAGE — An Anchorage high school vice principal has been accused of child abuse.
Officials with the Anchorage School District say Patsy Shaha is on administrative leave pending the outcome of a misdemeanor case against her.
The child abuse charge filed Dec. 22 is not related to her position as a high school vice principal. And School Superintendent Carol Comeau says the alleged victim is not a West High School student.
Police spokesman Lt. Dave Parker told the Anchorage Daily News the police report notes bruising on the juvenile’s face caused by a hand.
Comeau says Shaha will remain away from the school pending the outcome of the case.
