ulldozer builds a second mountain of wood chips last week at the Gates Contruction chip yard at the end of the Homer Spit in Homer. Gates Construction, which runs the Homer Spit operation, has told the city of Homer it's closing up shop because of poor markets and dwindling supplies of salable trees.
