ALAKANUK — Alaska State Troopers say a 36-year-old Alakanuk man convicted of sexually abusing two minors in the western Alaska village has been sentenced to a 105 years in prison.
Troopers say James Leopold III was sentenced last week.
Leopold was charged with five counts of sexual abuse of a minor and convicted of three counts at an August trial in Bethel.
Troopers say 99 years of the sentence are mandatory.
Alakanuk is at the east entrance of Alakanuk Pass, the major southern channel of the Yukon River, about 15 miles from the Bering Sea.
