FAIRBANKS - A Fairbanks man convicted in the drunken-driving death of a 10-year-old boy has been arrested again on a drunken-driving charge.

Keith D. O'Flanagan, 41, was arrested Thursday night after a caller reported seeing him driving while drunk.

O'Flanagan allegedly had a breath-alcohol content of 0.249 - more than three times the legal limit of 0.08. He was booked into Fairbanks Correctional Center on charges of driving under the influence and violating his parole.

O'Flanagan's arrest came almost five years after a Fairbanks Superior Court judge sentenced him to five years in prison in connection with a Nov. 17, 1997, accident that left his young passenger, Cory Foster, pinned inside the cab. The boy died a week later.

In that case, O'Flanagan pleaded no contest to a charge of manslaughter.
