Due to incorrect information given to the Juneau Empire, an article in Wednesday's paper on the design competition for a new state capitol misspelled the name of architect Mehrdad Yazdani of Yazdani Studio of Cannon Design of Los Angeles.

The article also misstated the date of an award given to the Yazdani Studio for the Lloyd D. George Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in Las Vegas. The project was completed in 2000 and has received numerous awards since its completion, including awards given as recently as 2004.

Due to an error by an Empire news-staff member, two thank-you notes - from AARP and Catholic Community Service - were inadvertently merged on the Neighbors page. Both were listed under the headline for the AARP thank-you note, referencing a December gift wrap.
