Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• A purse and a cellular telephone were reported stolen at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the 1200 block of Glacier Avenue downtown. The purse was later recovered.

• A cellular telephone was reported stolen at 3:08 p.m. Wednesday in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

• A cellular telephone was reported stolen at 3:12 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Glacier Avenue.

Vehicle accidents:

• Police cited a 33-year-old woman on a charge of failing to maintain a safe distance in traffic after an accident at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on inbound Egan Drive at Glacier Highway in the Jordan Creek area. The woman was driving a 1998 Nissan that reportedly struck a 1992 Dodge driven by a 61-year-old man. Damage to each car was estimated at $1,500.

Traffic stop:

• Police impounded a vehicle at 12:18 p.m. Wednesday in the 400 block of Fourth Street downtown after citing the driver, a 35-year-old woman, on charges of driving without a license and driving without insurance.
