JUNEAU - Juneau's Wal-Mart donated $2,500 to the Bartlett Regional Hospital Foundation last week.
The money well help pay for the hospital's Health Education Resource Center, a room in the newly renovated hospital with self-service computers and brochures with health information. The center opened Nov. 10 and is intended to help patients make informed decisions about their health and health care.
"Anytime we can help the community, we are excited," Wal-Mart Store manager David McDaniel said. "With the economy in such a rough environment, we are always glad to help out."
The center is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
