FAIRBANKS - A Fairbanks man has been sentenced to 30 years in federal prison for drug and firearms crimes.
Thirty-one-year-old Joseph Wubbold was found guilty in October. He was sentenced Friday.
Authorities say during two nearly identical incidents, Wubbold was found in possession of multiple firearms and controlled substances, namely methamphetamine and narcotics.
The first arrest occurred in July of 2007. About a year later, Wubbold was arrested again.
Authorities say in both cases firearms and drugs were found in his vehicle.
They also found a large quantity of cash and scales for weighing narcotics.
