KETCHIKAN - A 49-year-old Craig man was arrested after Alaska State Troopers in Ketchikan said they found 40 pounds of marijuana in the spare tires of his pickup.
Jeffery L. Music - owner of Island Ride, a Craig taxicab service - is charged with misconduct involving a controlled substance.
He was arrested Sunday after authorities boarded the state ferry Malaspina when it arrived in Ketchikan and a drug-sniffing troopers dog, Yukon, began barking at the truck, whose bed carried a four-wheeler and three spare tires.
A criminal complaint said that after obtaining a search warrant, troopers found 70 bags of marijuana in the spare tires and in the four-wheeler's tires.
Music made his first appearance in court Monday.
