The Juneau-Douglas City Museum is now accepting submissions for the 7th annual “12x12” Community Art Installation, which will be on exhibit March 4-26. Focus on Photos is this year’s theme.
“This is one of the most exciting exhibits of the year for me,” said Curator of Collections & Exhibits Addison Field. “The entries are always very creative. I can’t wait to see how people play off of this year’s theme.”
Each entry must contain a photograph, but how that photograph is used is up to the artist. Photographs may be modified by hand, changed digitally or by using some other artistic process.
Finished artwork including any framing must be 12” x 12” (x 12” if three dimensional) and ready to hang. Sculptural pieces must be ready for pedestal or hanging. Artists may submit multiple entries however a completed entry form and a registration fee of $12.12 must accompany each submission.
