Frozen tamales recalled

Homestead Pasta Company, based in San Francisco, Calif., has recalled various frozen tamale products that contain whey, a potential allergen that is not listed on the labels. The Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation has confirmed the recalled products have been distributed in Alaska.

The recalled products include 8.5-pound cases of Garibaldi Beef Tamale, 8.5-pound cases of Garibaldi Turkey Tamale, 10.5-pound cases of Golden West Traditional Beef Tamale with Sauce in Husk, 10.5-pound cases of Golden West Traditional Turkey Tamale with Sauce in Husk, 18-pound cases of Casper Homestead Pasta Company Beef Tamale and 18-pound cases of Casper Homestead Pasta Company Chicken Tamale.

Individual packages bear the establishment numbers “P-4994” or “EST. 4994.”
