The Parents as Teachers Alaska office is offering a professional development opportunity in February for professionals who work with teen parents.
On Feb. 1-2 in Anchorage, a trainer from the Parents as Teachers national center will present on issues in working with teen families. Topics include adolescent brain development, parallel developmental needs of teen parents and their children, techniques to enhance teen parents’ confidence and competence, strategies to facilitate father involvement, and parent group meetings and personal visits.
