Utahan is concerned about lone wolf

Posted: Wednesday, January 14, 2004

Where is Jack London when you need him? Thank you for the pleasant and free access to your paper online. My concern is about a beautiful wolf at the glacier that is valiantly trying to find a pack and may be in danger of being "put down." To us in the Lower 48 your state and your lifestyle are something we hope to achieve. That's a big thing to live up to - you're the last, the greatest frontier still open to dreams of wolves, bears and nature as it should be. Here in Utah it has literally been "shot to h..." I have heard the cry of the wolf in Canada at night and I don't romanticize it, but it is the howl of being truly free. Please, someone work on relocating this last vestige of the Earth as it should be.
