Unalaska Department of Public Safety Director Bob Beasley, left, confers with public safety officers Friday in Unalaska after the declaration of a tsunami warning. The warning, which covered a broad area of Alaska coastline including Juneau, sent residents of two remote Aleutian Islands to high ground Friday night. The alert was canceled after waves recorded by tidal sensors proved to be small, officials said. Read more below.
