Thank you for stapling and folding accurately the TV guide. Now I can find things.

I think it's wonderful that all the Christmas lights have remained up so that the legislature, when it comes into town, can see how pretty Juneau can be even in the dark night.

Shame on A&P for selling farmed Atlantic salmon. I am not a commercial fisher, but I am fiercely proud to be Alaskan and to support local concerns.

I, too, was horrified to see farmed Atlantic salmon at the Fred Meyer store. We should be supporting our Alaskan fisherman who frequently put their lives on the line to bring us excellent wild caught salmon. Let's join Safeway/Carr's in saying no to farmed fish.

I just read about the new regulations regarding boat registration. I can't believe this is such a blatant money grab to have to register kayaks. What's next, taxing our hiking boots?

I wonder if the caller who pointed out there's no yield sign or stop sign going from Douglas to Juneau at the bridge ever thought of patience and or courtesy?

In response to Canada's new law charging $50 to bring a firearm into their country to hunt or for just passing through to hunt the interior of Alaska, I'm going to invoke a surcharge to any Canadian citizen fishing from my boat this summer to offset what they will be charging me to enter their country to legally hunt next fall.

It is time for the Sealaska board to step to the plate and take control of our corporation and clean house. How can management and officers justify being in Hawaii while our corporation is hemorrhaging? Even our permanent fund is now at risk.

I have worked at Juneau-Douglas High School and I have passed in the halls with the students. The last thing we need in this community is a new high school.
