David Arnold Israelson

Former Juneau resident David Arnold Israelson died Jan. 13, 2002, in Yakutat.

Born Aug. 28, 1941, in Petersburg, Israelson served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Ranger. He lived in Petersburg and Juneau before moving to Yakutat in 1972. He worked at the Yakutat Chevron dealer and at the local gunsmith.

He is survived by his wife Judy A. Israelson; son Glenn David Israelson; daughter-in-law Verona Israelson; father Arnold Israelson; mother Dorothy Brody; brother Norman Israelson; sister Sylvia Geraghty; grandchildren Andrea, Tracy and Amanda; and Trouble, his favorite cat.

Services will be held at the Yakutat ANB Hall from 2 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16.
