Amy Little of Juneau graduated magna cum laude from George Fox University in Newburg, Ore., on Dec. 21, 2002. She received a bachelor of science degree in interdisciplinary studies with an emphasis in biology/psychology/sociology. In Feb. 2000, she was inducted into the Oregon Delta Chapter of Alpha Chi, a National College Honor Society. Little graduated from Juneau-Douglas High School in 1998.

Several local students have made the Oregon State University Scholastic Honor Roll list:

Grady L. Treston of Juneau, a sophomore general science major, who earned a straight-A average; freshman Blake S. Rider of Douglas, a pre-nuclear-engineering major; freshman Christopher J. Corso and senior Phillip C. Usera of Juneau, exercise and sport science majors; and Margaret K. Gemmell of Juneau, a freshman in general science; all of whom earned a 3.5 or better.

A total of 525 students earned straight-A (4.0). Another 2,5500 earned a B-plus (3.5) or better to make the listing. To be on the Honor Roll, students must carry at least 12 graded hours of course work.
