Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Vehicle accident:

• A Ford Ranger reportedly backed into a parked Chevrolet Suburban at 8:17 p.m. Tuesday near North Franklin Street. Damage to the Chevrolet was estimated at $1,000 or more. A broken taillight was reported on the Ford.

Hit and run:

• A man reported at 3:21 p.m. Tuesday that his 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck was struck by an unknown vehicle near Glacier Highway. He reported $800 in damage to his tailgate.


• At 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, a man reported three gold wedding bands with diamonds were stolen from the Teal Street area near the airport. He valued each ring at $100.

• A woman reported her black Jansport day pack stolen at 5:06 p.m. from a white Lincoln Continental parked near South Franklin Street. She valued the pack and its contents at $140. She said the pack was covered with patches from various places she has visited around Alaska and Canada.

• A woman reported at 5:19 p.m. Tuesday two packs of cigarettes were stolen from her Subaru Legacy, which she left unlocked on West Eighth Street downtown. The loss was $10.

Traffic stop:

• Police cited a woman, 21, on a charge of driving without a valid license at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday on inbound Egan Drive and Yandukin Drive near the airport. They released the woman and impounded the vehicle she was driving.

Lost property:

• A woman reported at 4:13 p.m. Tuesday she lost a fanny pack sometime Monday in the Juneau area.

Found property:

• A man reported finding a pink girl's bicycle at 1:41 p.m. Tuesday near Marine Park downtown.

• A wallet containing identification was turned in to police for safekeeping at 2:09 p.m. Tuesday after being found near Riverside Drive and Stephen Richards Memorial Drive.

• At 4:46 p.m. Tuesday, a man turned in a black wallet to police. The wallet was found near Trafalgar Avenue in the Mendenhall Valley.
