Former Juneau resident Beverly Freese, 55, died Nov. 23, 2003, at her home near Mt. Shasta, Calif.
She was born Mar. 20, 1948, in Louisville, Ky., to Hugh Woods, who died in 1997, and Sarah Woods, still living in Louisville, Ky. She was a dolphin trainer, zookeeper, flight attendant and fire lookout. She lived in Juneau for 20 years, where she owned a pet store and worked for Alaska Airlines as an agent.
"Her favorite hobby was making the world a more beautiful place," said family members. "She was known for being a provider of love to all."
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Lincoln Freese of Mt. Shasta, Calif.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Gordon and Susan Cook of Virginia Beach, Va.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Freese of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; nephews, Todd Cook of Virginia Beach, Va., Lance Cook of Clearwater, Fla., and Brooks Cook of Clearwater, Fla.; and niece, Jennifer Cook of Virginia Beach, Va.
