Juneau police , fire officials, and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated

Shortly after midnight Wednesday, Jerry Hauf, 61, was arrested on Jordan Avenue for drunken driving. He was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. His vehicle was impounded.


About 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, a man, 33, was arrested at Bartlett Regional Hospital for domestic assault at a residence in Lemon Creek. The man was transported to state prison where he was lodged.

Thefts, lost and found items:

Shortly after noon Wednesday, a girl, 15, reported her red Abercrombie & Fitch shoulder bag and a jacket were stolen from the gymnasium at Juneau-Douglas High School. The caller later recovered her jacket but not her bag.

About 7:25 p.m. Wednesday, a man, 47, reported the theft of items from his unlocked vehicle parked somewhere in Juneau. The items were not listed.

About 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, a woman, 21, reported the loss of her 1997 class ring at the Nugget Mall.

Vehicle accidents:

About 8:17 p.m. Wednesday, a man, 18, driving a 1987 Honda on Egan Drive struck a 1985 Plymouth operated by a man, 53. The older man complained of neck pain and was transported to Bartlett Regional Hospital by police officers. Each car suffered about $2,500 damage. Alcohol was not involved.

Hit-and-run incidents:

About 10:45 p.m. Wednesday, a woman, 39, reported her 1987 Plymouth had been hit-and-run on Nowell Avenue in Douglas. The impact resulted in about $1,000 in damage. The incident is under investigation by police.
